1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of Shy Core, a property issue reporting and management platform that forms part of the Shy Shell Universe. By creating an account, selecting a plan, or using the service, you agree to these terms.

If you use Shy Core for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation. References to “you” include that organisation and its authorised users.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for protecting login credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
• You must promptly notify us at support@shycore.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• You may only invite users who are authorised to access the properties, reports, tenant information, and organisation data made available to them.

3. The Shy Core service

Shy Core may provide property reporting links and QR codes, structured issue reports, media uploads, status tracking, team collaboration, tenant updates, inspections, exports, integrations, and other property-operation tools described on the website or inside the product.

Features, limits, and availability depend on the plan selected. We may improve, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, while respecting any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

4. Your property and tenant data

You retain responsibility for information uploaded or submitted through your account, including property details, issue descriptions, tenant contact details, photographs, videos, notes, and contractor information (“Customer Data”).

• You must have a lawful basis and any necessary authority to collect, upload, use, and share Customer Data.
• You must give tenants, team members, and other individuals any privacy information required by law.
• You must not upload passwords, payment-card details, unnecessary special-category data, unlawful material, or information you are not entitled to use.
• You grant Shy Core the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Data solely to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Shy Core to break the law, mislead others, harass or discriminate, infringe rights, distribute malware, probe or bypass security, overload the service, scrape data without permission, or access another customer’s information.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, data, the platform, or third parties, or where there is a material breach of these terms.

6. Plans, prices, payment, and cancellation

Current plan features and prices are shown on the Pricing page or at checkout. Paid subscriptions may be processed by a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. Taxes and any property-based charges will be shown where applicable.

• Subscriptions renew for the billing period shown at checkout unless cancelled before renewal.
• You may cancel through available account controls or by contacting support.
• Cancellation normally stops future renewal; access and data availability may continue until the end of the paid period, subject to the plan and applicable law.
• Refunds, cooling-off rights, and remedies apply where required by Irish or EU consumer law. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory statutory rights.

7. Third-party services

Shy Core may link to or integrate with third-party services, including payment processors, email providers, contractors, or other tools selected by you. Those services are operated under their own terms and privacy notices.

Unless expressly stated, Shy Core does not employ, supervise, guarantee, or accept responsibility for contractors or providers arranged through a third-party service. You are responsible for reviewing quotes, qualifications, access arrangements, and completed work.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep Shy Core available and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, security events, internet failures, third-party outages, and circumstances outside reasonable control may affect availability.

9. Responsibility and liability

You remain responsible for property management decisions, emergency action, legal compliance, inspections, contractor selection, repair quality, and communications with tenants or property owners.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shy Core is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or decisions made based on incomplete or inaccurate Customer Data. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Suspension, termination, and data

You may stop using the service and cancel your account subject to your plan. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, non-payment, legal requirement, security risk, or misuse of the service. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Data retention and export options depend on the plan, product settings, legal obligations, and the Privacy Policy. You should export records you need before access ends.

11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without removing any mandatory rights you may have under the law that applies to you. Irish courts will have jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

We may update these terms to reflect product, legal, security, or operational changes. The updated date will appear at the top of this page, and material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
